Bangkok free and easy : Cafe hopping : Audrey cafe and Bistro

Finally reached after a 10-15 minutes walk from Thong Lo BTS.
We used the GPS from our phone and it works.
Alternatively, you can just cab there but the weather was not bad and we like to stroll.
We walked in around 5 plus, the place was empty.
Maybe one reason is that it was the first day of military rule.
On the other hand, if you visiting it later in the evening as I read about it long queue.
May consider making a reservation

The menu

Very nice interiors with nice looking menu

Scone selection: We did not try it but i looks good.

A beautiful photogenic restaurant.

Thai tea.
Can't remember much.
Should be average

This is above average.
It is Tom Yam suki, means is like Tom Yam with noodles.
If you like Tom Yam, give it a try

Pizza Tom Yum Kung
Very popular, read about it on blogs.
BEst dish of the day. Taste very good.
Not too much flour and each piece has ample seafoods and the Tom Yam really give it a punch.
Will want go back for just this.

CRab Souffle.
Most expensive and supposedly the best and most special dish of the restaurant.
We are supposed to poke open the souffle and poured in the crab sauce.
At first, it taste real good but it gets a bit sickening at the end.
Recommend if you are sharing with friends or you just love egg whites.

Nice cakes and they have discount for the cakes. Too bad, we were too full.

Tried another of their specialty. Thai Milk Tea crepe cake.
Let just say is slightly above average.

The bill.
The pricing is quite reasonable but the main cost is the crab souffle so if you forego it, this place is quite cheap for a meal with slightly above average food and a nice environment which you can take really nice photos or have a romantic/ relaxing meal
Free wifi too. Just ask for password

singapore eats: Daily scoop

Cute interior with lot of flavours ice cream to choose from and fresh waffle.
This place is worth a visit.
3 locations:
41 Sunset WAy
43 JAlan Merah Saga
369 Sembawang raod

Singapore eats: Next door Deli and Pine gardens

Located at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10. It is quite easy to locate the place as it is along the main road. Buses to there includes 45,88,265.
The menu is just on the wall.

Price are quite reasonable, around western food at hawker centre or coffee shop
Do take note is self service

Drinks are also quite reasonable priced.

Our drinks. Lemongrass and lemon with plum
Just normal drinks but I do like the blue tiled background

Interior is nothing to shout about but quite pleasant.
It is not as expensive as other cafe. If you are an budget, and not have high expectation on the interiors. This place is good

 Grilled chicken
 wok fried laska

Next door deli's food reminds me of the good school in school canteen.
Nothing fanciful but it just have a very school vibe in it.
The good is good. The chicken wing is fried to golden brown while inside is tender and juicy.
Grilled chicken cutlet is also grilled just nicely.
The most famous and interesting should be the wok fried laksa. It has a distinctively laska taste, just that it is not soupy.
I wish I choose to have cockles instead of prawns
My sister enjoyed this dish much more than me as I am not into bean sprouts so the whole thing seems bit dry for me.
My sis say the bean sprouts are nice cooked, still have the crunch so it complies the noodles. She is definitely going back for more of it.

They have some discount for students and teachers on weekdays.

Singapore : Pasarbella at GRandstand

GEtting bored of Singapore and don't where to visit and have a nice meal.
Can try going to Pasarbella at the grandstand which is the turf club.
There is big farmer's market which serve lots of food and some pretty things.
However, if you expecting to shop then you will be disappointed.
There are free shuttle bus from some mrt station.

The famous Omakas burger.
We have truffle fries and crispy chicken burger but their specialty is their beef burger but I don't take beef
Good food.
We tried the biscuit ice cream, it is nice. However,  they should provide a spoon as it is hard to eat as the ice cream started to melt.
The spanish seafood rice was one of the most popular dish, but my sister's friend was quite disappointed with the dish as it looks much better than it taste.

I just like the way they put the signboard and add in some descriptions

More food!! The shop at the top left sells nice cakes and you can sample too before you buy.

Desserts?
Ice cream with our favourite traditional biscuit with the little sugar puff on top
or
maroons with my melody and hello kitty design

Dutch Colony Coffee Co.
There is a cute guy selling small pancakes. The pancakes taste quite good.
But I bought the red velvet cake to try, quite disappointed with it.
Only one layer of cream cheese which is at the top and side of the cake.
The cake is dry and tasteless.

Shops which sell lovely country style, a bit floral and vintage style towels, cutlery and cups

Shops which sell interesting variety of balloons. A hair salon for kids and also aromatherapy.

They sell party stuff for kids and lovely tea sets

It is definitely worth a visit.
interesting place

They have buses from Clementi, Toa Payoh and Botanic gardens
